1.  Detailed Description of Goods and/or Services:

Spierre Fins is a business in the Water Sporting Good Manufacturing Industry that offers Handcrafted Freediving and Spearfishing Carbon Fibre (Fiber) and Fibre (Fiber) Composite fin blades.

2.  Delivery Policy:

Subject to availability and receipt of payment, requests will be processed within 30 days and delivery confirmed by way of trackable courier (Fedex Express or UPS) and a Waybill will be sent to the customer when the parcel has been sent to you.

The provision of goods and services by Spierre Fins is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, Spierre Fins will refund the client in full within 30 days. 

Cancellation of orders by the client will attract a 50% administration fee within the first 7 days of placing your order.

3.  Returns and Refunds Policy:

In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible at info@spierre.com with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition (photos of the packaging that is damaged is also important as well as the product that is damaged.

We address these on a case-by-case basis but will try our best to work towards a satisfactory solution. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at info@spierre.com

To return your product, you should courier via a track able method (not via the South African Post Office or EMS), your product to: 127 St Francis Drive St Francis Bay Eastern Cape South Africa 6312

You will be responsible for paying for your own courier costs and if applicable any clearing costs (customs taxes levied) for returning your item. Return courier costs are non-refundable. 

Depending on where you are located, the time it may take for your exchanged product (if eligible) to reach you, may vary.  If you are shipping an item over $75, you should use a track able shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. If you do not used a track able method we don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

4.  Warranty

When you order a new pair of Spierre fin blades, you will receive a 24 month replacement warranty against any manufacturing defects in the blade e.g. delamination.  This will be inspected and determined if the case, by Spierre Fins. 

If you have ordered direct from the Spierre Online Shop we will have a record of your order and the date ordered to facilitate your warranty.  If you have purchased your fin blades through a Spierre retailer, the retailer should have a record of your purchase date and will contact us on your behalf.  For any questions you are also welcome to contact us at info@spierre.com

5. Customer Privacy policy


Spierre shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, "personal information" shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). 6. Payment options accepted


Payment may be made via Visa and MasterCard.


7. Card acquiring and security


Card transactions will be acquired for Spierre via PayPal or Paygate.


8. Customer details separate from card details


Customer details will be stored by Spierre separately from card details.


9. Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency


The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is United States Dollar - USD.


10. Responsibility


Spierre takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.


11. Country of domicile


This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Spierre chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature.


12. Variation


Spierre may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.

Handcrafted Variations:

 

  • All Spierre Fin Blades are custom handcrafted. Handcrafted items, by nature have imperfections. Although we are thorough and manufacture to very specific product standards that we have set for the products, there are inconsistencies. Based on the creative nature, each item will look a little different from the next. This is what makes handcrafted work unique.
  • Any item you purchase is one of a kind. There are no two items that leave our Workshop, that are exactly the same. The designs may not be from the same dye lot and the color nuance may vary.  Even if it does, the unique patterning and design of the colors will make each item beautifully different.

Despite every effort to provide accurate images of each product's color and design, actual colors and design may vary slightly, due to different device screen settings, the lighting in the installation location, slight differences in product finishes over time and other factors. Spierre will not accept responsibility for any color or design differences that are not factory faults. In purchasing from Spierre, you agree to accept the small risk that there will be a slight variation between the actual color and design, and the representation on our website.  Whilst manufacturing your fin blades we will do our best to position your design according to your request and specs, but there can be variances in the final print that require us to re-position the design so that it  (the design) will be optimally placed on the fin blades.  Spierre does not take responsibility for the final placing on the fin blades and customers agree to accept this risk when requesting their own design on the fin blades.

 

Please note: For custom artwork (customers own), when submitting your design for your fin blades, you confirm that the design submitted for the design is your own artwork or that you have the necessary permissions in place, indemnifying Spierre against any copyright or trademark claims or infringements.  When placing your Own Design Handcrafted Fin Blade order, please be sure to first read the Handcrafted Product Description below as you will have been deemed to have accepted these conditions, when placing your order.

The product(s) you receive might vary slightly from the product picture due to the nature of your product(s) being 100% handmade to order.

Each set of Spierre Fin blades, is custom handcrafted to order and the production time will take about 5 - 6 weeks (depending on the volume of orders in production when placing your order).

If you have a trip coming up, or need your order sent to you sooner than this, please mail us at info@spierre.com to find out if we can put a rush on your order.

*  If you are ordering a set of customer fin blades, with an upcoming trip in mind, please allow sufficient time for the custom production of your fin blades and also the time period that it will take for the parcel to reach you.  Give yourself enough time in advance so that you received your fins/fin blades well in time before you are booked to leave as we cannot take responsibility for it reaching you in a tight timeline.

Foot Pockets:

Please note: The fitting of your choice of foot pocket is a free supplementary service that we offer when you purchase a set of Spierre fin blades from us (normally the fitting fee without a fin blade purchase is USD60).


We do not manufacture the foot pockets and if there is assistance needed with regards to the fitting, we will send advice and support to assist you. The end responsibility of a foot pocket warranty or return, will lie with the respective manufacturer of the foot pockets. You are welcome to contact us to put you into contact with the agent or manufacturer.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
