We take your height and weight that you have entered during Checkout and also taking into consideration any other preference request that you have provided to us, (e.g. weak ankles/prefer a harder/softer fin blade etc), we then custom handcraft a blade stiffness that will best suit your physique and personal preferences.  Read more about Spierres custom handcrafting manufacturing

Manufacturing a Custom Handcrafted set of Fin Blades (or other Ocean product), does normally take 4-6 weeks to manufacture, allow this into your time frame when ordering.  We can put a Special Rush on your order if you are pressed for time to receive it, but bear in mind, a Rush Order has an additonal USD50 in the price to put it ahead.

Allow enough time in advance so that you received your fins/fin blades in time before you are booked to leave as we cannot take responsibility for it reaching you in a tight timeline.

All local import customs taxes and duties will be paid on arrival in the destination country by the recipient.

The fin blade tip that we most commonly manufacture for our Spearhunting fin blades is "Standard" and the tip used most regularly for our Free Diving shape is "Fish Tail".  

The various tip shapes have been made available as a personal preference when customising your fin blade and should not significantly affect the performance of your fin blades.

Your custom fin blades can be fitted to most universal foot pockets that allow for a rubber side rail to be inserted into the foot pocket arms.  We recommend using the foot pockets own fitting kits to secure the fin blades into the foot pockets. 

There are certain foot pockets (e.g. Pathos) that will require the fin blade to be glued into the foot pocket and this can be done by following the Pathos fitting tutorial that will be available on our Blog.  Take care if drilling holes and using screws, not to over tighten the screws against the fin blades.  The fitting screws should be tightened until they no longer turn freely but should not be over tightened against the fin blades, avoiding placing any undue tension on the blade. 

If you are fitting the fin blades to your own foot pockets, please let us know what type so that we can shape your fin blades to fit your foot pockets before sending to you.

When you order a new pair of Spierre fin blades, you will receive a 24 month replacement warranty against any manufacturing defects in the blade e.g. delamination.  If you have ordered direct from the Spierre Online Shop we will have a record of your order and the date ordered to facilitate your warranty.  If you have purchased your fin blades through a Spierre retailer, the retailer should have a record of your purchase date and will contact us on your behalf.  For any questions you are also welcome to contact us at info@spierre.com

In the event of a parcel arriving damaged, contact us asap on info@spierre.com and include the following:

Description stating the damage of package
Photos clearly showing damage to the product(s)
Packaging photos of damage by carrier

In the event of a parcel being stolen before delivery has taken place, contact us asap on info@spierre.com and include the following:

Customer description stating the loss of package (Could be a PDF or a screenshot)

One of the following evidence to prove theft:

1. Police report
2. Security footage

How long does the courier delivery take?

From the time that your custom fin blades are completed and we send your parcel, the approximate time for it to reach you is 5-6 working days via Fedex Express.  It may be slightly sooner that this, but this is an average indicator of the time to reach you.  When the parcel has been sent to you, we will e-mail the parcel tracking number to you.  Your parcel can then be tracked a few days after sending, via the courier website that we will provide to you using the tracking number. You can also contact us if you are concerned about the whereabouts of your parcel and we will do our best to track the parcel from the point of leaving South Africa to determine where it is. 

Who pays my local Customs Duty and Taxes on arrival?

When transporting goods across international borders, shipments are subject to duties and taxes as determined by customs in the destination country based on value, origin and commodity type

Your local Duty and Tax charges are not assessed until the shipment enters your country and you will pay these once your order has arrived and your parcel value has been assessed by your local Customs Department. Our delivery partner has been provided with the invoice related to your order as well as the customs export information that will include the Harmonized System (HS) Code) used by your local Customs Department to determine your local duties and taxes.  These will be communicated to you by the delivery partner on or before the parcel has arrived in your country and will be paid by you prior or on delivery.
